   Dusan Stojanovic, cellist, was born in Belgrade, Serbia. He began with musical education in music schools “Dr.V.Vuckovic” and “Stankovic” and in 1987 graduated from Faculty of Music in Belgrade where he studied cello with prof. Francoise Jakovcic. He obtained the Konzert-Diplom at Musik-Konservatorium in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, under the mentorship of prof. Michael Flaksman ( USA ). He participated in numerous master-classes in former Yugoslavia and abroad and studied with professors D.Safran, B.Pergamenschikow and F.Lodeon. Among most significant master-classes are those in Groznjan, ”Academie d`ete” in Nice, France, “Wiener Meistercourse” in Austria, and “Carl Flecsh Academie” in Baden-Baden, Germany.

   Dusan Stojanovic performs as a soloist and in various chamber ensembles. He is the member of the renowned Belgrade String Quartet, and with this ensemble he played at numerous concerts and Festivals in Serbia and abroad ( Italy, Germany, USA and some former Yugoslav republics – Macedonia, Bosnia and Croatia ) and recorded four CD-s.

    He was the first cellist of the chamber orchestra Beogradska Sinfonieta from 1991 to 1999, and with this ensamble he had very succsessful tours in Hungary, Greece and Cypress. He became member of the Royal Strings of St.George in the year 2000, and from the 2003, he is the first cellist and soloist of this ensamble and toured some European countries ( Italy, Austria, Germany and Norway ).

   In 2002 he recorded a solo CD with the compositions of G.Faure and C.Debussy. In 2009 he recorded a CD with pianist Radmila Stojanović with serbian music for cello and piano. The recording was taken live at the 5th International Cello Fest in Belgrade.

   From 1989 to 2005, Dusan Stojanovic was teaching cello in several music schools in Belgrade, and he was the associate cellist of almost every major symphony and chamber orchestra in Serbia.

   He is the principle cellist and the soloist of the RTS Simphony Orchestra in Belgrade from the year 2001.

   The repertoire of Dusan Stojanovic includes most of the standard cello compositions as well as the works of the contemporary Serbian and foreign composers.
